Mendelssohn
Mendelssohn once visited a cathedral containing one of the most priceless organs in Europe. He sat and listened as the organist practiced, then asked for permission to play."I don't know you," was the reply, "and we don't allow any chance stranger to play this organ."
At last the great musician persuaded the organist to let him play. As Mendelssohn played, the great cathedral was filled with such music as the organist had never heard. With tears in his eyes, he laid his hand on Mendelssohn's shoulder, "Who are you?" he asked?
"Mendelssohn," came the reply.
"To think that an old fool like me nearly forbade Felix Mendelssohn to play upon this organ!"

So many times we don't want to relinquish the keyboard of our life to the Master. We lack the faith and trust that He can create something more beautiful with our instrument than we'd ever be able to do on our own. He will not push you off the bench, but will patiently wait until you invite Him to take control.
