Update from Beth . . .

(Photo from our trip to France - These are Canola Fields. We use Canola for cooking oil. The French use it for fuel. The fields are beautiful)

Well, it doesn't look as if I'm going to get my trip diary done. It's been so busy around here and there is only one day left in this month to get all my projects done so that I can have the summer off! (grin)

It took me a week to recover from our trip to France. I don't handle loss of time very well! I'm back to "normal" now and am able to sleep a full 8 hours.

We've attended two high school graduations and a CAP Award Ceremony since returning from France.

We are trying to stay home in order to save on the cost of gasoline. Where we live, we have to drive at least 8-15 miles to get anywhere. Thankfully Eddie only has to drive a couple miles to work. The cost of gasoline is hitting everyone hard. It seems that the harder we try not to drive, the more places we HAVE to go!

Next week I will be taking 4 of our teens from church to camp. Thank the Lord the campground is in our county. Anna won't be able to go due to her job. She and Rachel will leave Friday for their CAP Lake FTX and will return Saturday.

Anna and Rachel will be gone to Mississippi a week in the middle of June for their CAP Summer Encampment. Anna is going as a staff member and Rachel as a cadet.

Anna will have two weeks of Emergency First Responder's training in Indiana during the month of July. She got a scholarship for both weeks and is so excited.

My dad is seems to be responding to the new cancer treatment but had a relapse of a stomach condition he suffered from last month. He and Mom will be flying to Washington in less than two weeks to spend some time with my sister and brother-in-law. Mom will have her gallbladder removed while there. Please continue to keep them in your prayers.

We are still reliving our memories of France and meeting our French relatives. It was the best trip of all time and we look forward to returning one day. It's been wonderful to keep in touch by email with our relatives.

God has been so good to us. We praise Him for His blessings and continue to trust in Him for tomorrow.

Beth
